Masjid Ayesha is your local masjid in Wrose which provides a place for worship, education and your spiritual needs.

Our History

Facilites

The Masjid consists of a large prayer hall, two additional classrooms, office, Wudhu area and bathroom facilities. We also have a car park with 20 spaces.

The Masjid can hold a capacity of 310 people in a single congregation. This is spread across the main prayer hall and the two adjacent rooms.

Masjid Ayesha was established in 2021. Members of the local community led by our Imam Maulana Shahid Iqbal bought the building which was once a church. The 2,766 sqft building was purchased in September 2021 for £380,000.

The property is centrally situated within Wrose village lying a little over 3 miles to the immediate north of Bradford City Centre. The property sits at the junction between Thornacre Road and Wrose Road.

Most of the funds of the purchase of the Masjid was raised though Qarde Hasan (Benevolent Loan). This is a financial arrangement which typically is an interest-free loan given to charitable projects such as the purchase of a Masjid. Donors are usually local members of the community. Currently the Masjid has around £300,000 debt which needs to be repaid back as soon as possible so we can make the Masjid debt-free.
